The Speed of Life

I counseled from 9-4 today.  I didn't have to work tonight so I came home and Carrie and I had some "lie in bed and relax and kiss and stuff" time which is its official name.

So we were there about 20 minutes or so.

And I said, "Man, this has been the best day off!"

And she looked at me.

"I think....just maybe....you're working too much."

So now, I'm having beer and watching Cubs and we rearranged our basement so now we have our 42 inch TV in the corner and I swear to you from the bottom of my heart, it now looks like it is a 72-inch tellie and I feel like I'm AT the game.

Speaking of baseball, last night Eric Estrada sang the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley and sang the lyric as, "It's a shame if they do not win."

So I called Dad and said, "Which is still shorter than the original lyric of, 'It's a downright pity if they do not emerge victorious.'"

Off to enjoy the rest of my "day off" now.  Sorry the blog is suffering.  I promise to try harder.
