My Open Bias Toward Women (on TV)

Apr 19, 2009 20:18

Look, I know it's my own damn fault for watching HGTV when I'm bored.  And maybe it doesn't happen in real life but these are "real" people (being filmed while searching for houses)....

But seriously, women!  When the man you're with talks about putting up a flat screen tv or where to put his recliner or having a "man's room" or "man cave" or "space away from your nagging, wet blanket ass".....

Without fail, these women look at them with a cartoonish "Oh, we'll have to talk about that!" every single time.

It's fucking uncanny.

You are both writing your name on this house.  Take the vice of his balls for just an itty bitty second and imagine that, y'know, everyone should have their own space in a house.

Of all the houses we have looked at (an insane number), I can remember seeing one room that looked like a guy spends the bulk of his time there (could have been a dyke, I don't know) but I have seen 320 scrapbooking/quilting/girly rooms.  And I'm not saying there aren't well-adjusted men who like to scrapbook/quilt/be surrounded by pink.  But still.

What is with the hatred on men having their own space?!?!

Why hate on the flat screen TV?  Hate on the landing strip chin hair but not on the space.

movin' on up
