Hey... IT'S SNOWING!!! *cue screaming herd of students to squish into window*
Yep, a snow day. I had my morning kiddie art class (I made a valentine... ooooo, pretty!) then the class unanimously decided against going to our afternoon classes, which was seconded and thirded by the profs, who sent out emails shortly thereafter. Towson finally decided to close at 3... Goddard also closed at 3... glad I didn't work today. Babysitting cancelled tonight, and asked if I'm busy tomorrow night. ON Valentine's Day. The day before. Had they asked me say.. two weeks ago... then I can arrange to not be busy, and let htem go out. However, the night before, I have plans, and I really can't break them the day before... so.. not babysitting tonight.
It's been a SNOW DAY! Rob bought me french fries, to which I am forever indebted to him. Not really, but I appreciated the fries. I started making cookies, thought better of it, and just mixed up the batter to snitch. looked up airline tix for the summer, called Dad and saved him hundreds of dollars because I'm awesome.
Need to figure out a quick, cheap V-Day gifdt, since my original plans fell through due to a monstrous BGE bill that required emptying my savings account... not a big deal really-- I mean, that's why we have savings, right? but still, leaves me without the big fun romantic event I was planning. There will be plenty of other times that we can do it though. Hooray for electricity and heat (which this house is lacking. But there is the potential for heat. Just a thermostat click away!
back to homework. (which really means back to procrastinating, but the intentions are there!) and to waiting for Mike, and hoping for more snow. Lesson plans. Need to write lesson plans (although that's sort of a constant state with me)
