Door Update
Seems that someone from out letting agency came round and locked up the house with Justine in it, then someone filled the lock with stones and gunk - possibly to check if there was anyone in (if they saw the letting agent guy come over this is a real possibility).
So yeah, agency never checked we weren't in there - we told the landlord we were in there (as he is always going on about how we have to talk to him not them) and locked Justine in the house, to which someone filled the lock with stuff to check it it was unlocked again.
Also apparently the house has been broken into before (our landlord told us otherwise), and they've even found people wandering in the garden looking in the windows after climbing over the fence. Awesome.
