So yeah, I need to repost a couple of my entries so the first real entry I make won't be lonely. Yeah I know what you're thinking.. "WTF?" It's one of the things that keeps me ticking and one of the reasons why people stick around? So they can disect the wierd and abnormal yanno, not because I'm black, 7' 3" and 320 lbs of muscle. But who am I kidding here? omg first public entry. scary :X

So the holidays have come around and in full swing now. We've already got the turkey days swept aside and I got holiday pay for the 23rd and the 24th *cha-ching* ^^. Only really had one family day where the majority of the family came to our house for our own little thanksgiving.. What do I mean by our own? Well lemme try to describe what we had to grub on.. Bear with me here cause I lack the digicam at this point :(..

First up on the list, I believe it was papaya shreds which was complimented with shredded boiled chicken using fish sauce or soy sauce (special blend).. so it's like a papaya salad with some shredded carrots for added color and semi-sweet flavor.
Second was the eggrolls.. lol how asian can we get? Well it's the same ones we make at the shop, so I just ended up getting lots of lettuce, mints and other assorted herbs and created a little lettuce wrap dipping that in fish sauce. Boy was that some good stuff!
Third was our BBQ pork, same stuff we make at the shop freshly off the grill like an hour prior. It tastes really different then when we have to put it in the fridge. Tender, juicy and sweet. We used that for the combo bowl made of vericelli noobles, cut up eggrolls, assorted leafy vegetables, bean sprouts, our very own 'bi' (aka shredded pork+vermicelli noobles mixed in curry powder + msg + some asian spices which I don't remember off the top of my head) which is almost like the vermicelli bowls they sell in the resturant, but made at home.
Lastly, I think there was more food but I have a really bad memory, is my dad's "Special Chigun." Having a whole chicken -head, he marinates it in soy sauce which also has cloves of garlic (mashed), aniseed, freshly ground pepper, smeared slightly in curing salt so that the chicken itself would be able to asorb the marination.. Marinating was three days.. I think what he does is that he brings the chicken out and bastes it for a good hour or two, then finally deep fries it til its crisp golden brown. Scrum-dilly-fucking-umptious. Par-don mi French.. He only makes it for special occasions so when I get the chance, I get my grub on and tear the chicken a new one.

Then for the remaining three days, I slacked off. Really I did lol. All it consisted of was.. a period of 3-5hrs of watching football, 12+ hrs of Grey's Anatomy (up to season 3 eps 3!) and downloading 'Heroes' and watchin the first two eps. I haven't been able to keep up with my "Men in Trees" and pretty much have lost interest in "The Nine," but it's mainly cause I shouldn't be slacking off so much and putting aside reading haha.. "House" I've given up trying to keep up since every eps is pretty much like ER, brand new and really doesn't connect the last with the next.. But I like watching it cause I think it's a better doctor's show then ER, but not better than G's A and even the show "Becker"..

Anyways, I think that's all for now. Will try to post a new flow if I can sometime this week. The Miss. PHD is coming back and I gotta pick her up tomorrow.. This Friday is my 'pay-a-day-to-grub' day with my old co-workers from the bowling alley.. and it's Todai's lol.. Second buffet since two weeks ago! Saturday is iffy. Hopefully either gonna go shopping or watch animals at the zoo? lol think we'll figure something out then :D

Stay classy San Diego~!
