o-o-h those summer nights oh well oh well-o
It has been a magnificent summer of absolutely zero real productivity, but at long last I am back at school, and swamped with language homework, probably as some sort of karma for being horribly lazy for the last three months. :) Greek and Latin hoorah! Also some English classes but nothing very exciting. In Latin we're reading the Pro Caelio which is A++, even though it eats spare time like crazy.
Anyway, I thought I would bombard y'all with pictures from this summer, because I really doubt my ability to write a coherent summary that doesn't involve waaaay too many exclamation marks and random capslock. As much as I aspire to be eloquent and pithy at all times, it takes too much energy to maintain so I usually revert to being an excitable dork within 1.5 sentences.

At Disneyland with Ashley! (We took many dorky pictures on the Tom Sawyer Island because of its new pirate theme :) The blacksmith hut had a sign that said the proprietor was one W. Turner!!
Being a dork on the beach with Ashley! This is our sand sculpture of Cloud Strife. Is it not handsome? Some little boys recognized him which made us very happy.
Going to Balboa Park, which was v. pretty! Don't mind Vincent... I don't remember exactly why I shopped him into that pic but I still think its funny.
Biggest koi EVER I kid you not. These were over a foot long and very fat.
And... confession of great nerd-ery alert! Going to anime conventions. That was so hard to type, ok. Don't mock me. :( IT WAS AWESOME and people thought were COOL that never happens. :) Also they are full of much more regular folks than most non-fans probably think. Really, it's a fairly cool crowd. I won't lie, there were some weird ones (...also a lot of girls who randomly hugged us when we were in costume. which. was weird.) ANYWAY excuse our nerd, etc, but it was a very happy and important part of my summer... so I'll shut up now and show pictures.
This is the main vendor hall, where you could buy stuff, most of it expensive junk, but. I took this sitting on the floor so the angle's a little weird.
This is one of my favorite pictures ever. We were eating lunch under some trees outside, and these guys walked past together and they were just such an odd pair that we started laughing. If you can't tell from the pic but might know who they are, the one in red is Auron from Final Fantasy X and the other is Tousen from Bleach.

Aaaaand Ashley and I as Roxas and Axel from Kingdom Hearts II. We had so many fangirls that day, it was awesome.
With the always awesome Yurika waiting for Harry Potter!! (Which I liked, yes - I have my squabbles with certain things - Lupin :( - but it was a fun and satisfying end to a story that I associate with a lot of good memories and fun times Back In The Day. ♥ Scottsdale Gang.
