So, back in August, Elena had
gone back to Edge, with Reno. A surprise visit while on the semester break, so she could kill monsters and maybe get Reno out of deep shit. And then she'd agreed to do some paperwork, for Tseng, and somehow that turned into "and
at the end, we'll have a semi-date."
Not a date. Totally not a date. Just co-workers, splitting a bottle of vintage wine. Difference. Huge one.
Which was why she'd gotten an amazingly kick-ass
dress, and insanely expensive
shoes, and even some black-lace
lingerie to wear underneath, thanks to
Dite's shop. Look, she wasn't going to get laid tonight, but ... black-lace lingerie certainly never hurt.
She had a clutch purse in her hands, and the light fragrance of Dite's perfume drifting around her. Rose had been completely right about wearing her hair down, so she was going to give Rose extra-huge hugs later. Once she got back.
Because right now (she wasn't nervous, she wasn't, okay, she was, the hell with it) --
right now, she was going to take a deep breath and knock on Tseng's door.
