Elena still didn't know how to feel about this whole, mom thing. It was weird. It was confusing and kept shifting around on her. She didn't seem to be very good at it.
Her mom wanted time with each of them. Elena had tried to beg off, which had earned her some dark looks from Rosalind. She wasn't sure why. Wouldn't she want more time with their mom? She could have her. Elena didn't mind. She'd never known her to miss her.
But, fine. Some time alone with each of them, somewhere they could talk, and then dinner.
If they could get through it without either sister stabbing the other under the table.
