Just after Agnes finished getting dressed and pinning her tall pointy hat in place, she was attacked by not one but TWO parrots, a large showy black

"You're lucky you're so cute," she grumbled at the bird.
"So cute!"
Eve rolled her eyes and kept walking down the hall, just in time to hear " ... down your sodding back!"

"Now's exactly the time you want to talk to people!" squawked the cockatoo.
"Shut up!" Agnes hissed. Then, louder, she asked, "Hello?"

The budgie chimed in with "Ability finding an outlet or whatever!"
"Pleased to meet you," Agnes continued. "Sorry about the... circumstances."
She glared at the cockatoo while the budgie chirped "Circumstances! Circumstances!"

Reply
"You, too," said the lorikeet.
Ignoring the lorikeet, Eve said, "Though I've never actually met a witch who wore a pointy hat before."
Well, she hadn't!
Reply
"That doesn't stop it from looking stupid," the cockatoo said.
