Disappointed, but… not
It was subtly announced today that David Tennant would not be attending Dallas Comic Con. I say subtly because it was never officially announced that he would be, but they had hinted at a major Doctor Who guest AFTER Billie Piper had been confirmed, then not long after he was confirmed to be attending with her at Philadelphia's Wizard World Comic Con.
I was not counting on him being there, I bought my ticket when Gillian Anderson was confirmed, so I'm good. Would it have been amazing to see him & Billie together, absolutely. Will the con still be worth the +$1000 I'll be spending to meet who I want to meet and get autographs and pictures with, I have no doubt it'll be a great time.
The fact that David is now doing American conventions at all is amazing and gives a fan hope they can attend. I'm going to start calling the frustration over announcements the "Con Game" though. I literally don't know what one I should plan to attend in the future, there was talk of a con ion dallas in October he might attend. He might be in rehearsals for Richard II respirse by then although it's not till December.
The only reason he's doing cons here at all is probably due to working in NYC right now for AKA Jessica Jones.
