Rescues.
So, rough weather on the coast, my 4 year old nephew got caught in a sweep, and then ripped out to sea. I made the sprint and got to him at the same time as his father and the surf life savers.
Same family - this afternoon, I heard the father calling out for the same son in a panic. Pulled on a shirt, ran downstairs, started organising a search pattern from various by-standers and the kid was found by one of them.
Tonight, the youngest son fell and hurt his head. I was first on the scene again applying basic first aid etc.
Parents are yet to thank me even once.
