Dan has a problem.
Actually, that's not entirely true - Dan's had a problem for about a week. Except... well, now it's evolved into a really big, big, big problem.
It all started with numb fingertips, then numb hands and feet, and he really didn't think much of it. He figured it was probably just stress, no big deal at all, and he went on doing his thing.
And then it moved to his arms and legs.
And then, this morning, he woke up and couldn't move.
So he thought, okay, maybe I should go see Kat. This might have something to do with those chemicals I inhaled (an excellent hypothesis) and she can probably fix it.
That's when the really big problem emerged: Kat's gone. Kat's gone and her lab is, as one of the gentleman outside told him, off-limits. Dan doesn't have much experience with legal matters, but he knows an investigation when he sees one. He also knows a hazmat suit when he sees one.
He also knows when it's appropriate to panic and he thinks now is a perfect time to do exactly that.
This is why the following appears in the journal network, locked to all medical-types who are not CLF, etc:
I think I'm suffering the effects of chemical poisoning.
And then, locked to Kat:
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? WHERE ARE YOU?
