In honor of this journal's first birthday, I would like to give you guys the chance to ask me anything about Dan.
So...
Ask me anything about Dan*! Seriously, anything. Nothing is off limits, much to his chagrin. ;D
*You can ask me about canon Dan, one of mu AU Dans, or one of my game Dans~

01. Dan has something of a hero complex. He kind of ignores the inherent risk of "HEY YOU MIGHT DIE" that comes along with saving the day. I think, at his core, Dan would rather die after doing one really great thing than not attempt to make up for his past failures at all.
02. Honestly? I'm not sure. If the circumstances are dire enough and the stakes high enough, he could probably be pushed to do just about anything with the right amount of force. He's extremely intelligent, yeah, but he's not very strong, mentally. It wouldn't be difficult for someone to take advantage of that fact. He does have a very strict moral code, though, but his experiences on the Island have kind of shaken that foundation. He's almost at the point where it wouldn't be tough to make it crumble completely.
03. Dan's dreams, like most, are usually just things he did during the day playing back at him with the occasional bizarre twist or. Sometimes he dreams about past events, sometimes he dreams about numbers, and sometimes he has really vivid nightmares. He rarely remembers any of them.
04. His journal. Aside from the obvious answer of "it's packed with his life's work!!", it's one of the few gifts his mother ever gave him that actually says, in writing, "I love you." Dan is sentimental like that.
05. His childhood, before his mother started talking about destiny. He had friends, immensely enjoyed playing the piano, and was a pretty normal little boy with a normal life, even in spite of his high intelligence.
06. Losing Charlotte.
07. His mother. She was more of a force of nature than an influence, though.
08. Pretty much all of season 5, especially the part where he DIES. All he wants is a chance to redeem himself; as I said, he wants to make up for all his past mistakes and failures. To him, dying before he can do that is the ultimate failure. So, basically: more failure.
09. Dan actually has a pretty decent sense of humor! He can appreciate a good joke and absolutely loves Monty Python. He's not very good at making jokes unless they involve some sort of sarcasm, but it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get a chuckle out of him. (Especially if he's drunk.)
10. Again, his mother - loathe as he is to admit it. She's influenced nearly every aspect of his life.
11. Not a virgin! Theresa Spencer was his first. They had sex for the first time the night before his graduation.
