Yesterday my parents came to visit me at NCC. We had a pretty good time. I was excited to see them and show them around town. My mom, dad, Brent, and I all went out to tea at Savore. My mom and I also went shopping at Wal-Mart. I love getting new things! Especially when I don't have to pay for them.
My parents also visited a couple of my classes. First they went to my boring IDS class, and then they went to my ice skating class. That was quite an adventure. It took about 20 minutes to park because of a huge logging convention at the fair grounds. We ended up haveing to park a couple of blocks away. Then, when we got inside of the normally fairly empty ice rink, it was absolutely packed. There was barely any room on the ice. My parents wisely chose not to ice skate with me. I thought, "maybe I can still show off all of my skills and make them proud." Unfortunately, I ended up taking a couple of bad falls on the ice. I was so embarassed. The only thing my dad remembers about my ice skating is how funny my falls were. (sigh) Thngs never go as I plan.
In the end I was just happy to have them around. I love my parents very much. They might tease me a lot and get on my nerves sometimes, but I love them. I'm excited to go home and see them during Spring Break. I also miss my siblings.
