"You know, you look a lot like my friend, Roger? Except that he's taller than you are. A lot taller. And he wears eyeliner and glittery jeans and spikes his hair, and it looks really good on him, you know? Most guys wouldn't be able to pull that off, but Roger's just got this presence..."
Luther eyed the short filmmaker babbling at him, kind of regretting stepping into the coffee shop in the first place - he just wanted a caffeine boost, not an incessantly rambling kid who he couldn't quite shake off, like a puppy that just kept following you around... He wondered if the kid would be scared off if he told him he was a dealer. Then again, there was the possibility it would only fascinate him more, and Luther didn't want to risk that. "Do you ever shut up?"
The boy paused. "Well... usually Roger makes me stop when I've been talking too much. Actually, he puts a hand over my mouth, because he says that I-"
"Where is he right now?" Luther asked bluntly. "He's needed."
That seemed to startle the kid enough that he fell silent for a few seconds, blinking in momentary confusion, and Luther took the opportunity to retreat, silently praying he wouldn't be followed this time.
