With Mimi everything is a matter of control, trying to control her and always coming up short. Control over the drugs (stop using that shit, it's bad for you, you're going to kill yourself, stop tempting me), control over sex (you're mine, you belong to me, stay here tonight, don't go to him), control over her. But it's about as easy as controlling a wildfire, impossible to cage or fence in, and April can only watch it burn, impossible to stop until she burns herself out completely - and that's exactly the outcome that terrifies April in the first place.
