Angie sat on her bed. It was mid afternoon and she was finished class for the day. Early Wednesday, oh how she loved them.
A slight chirp followed by a mild crash she saw Cole struggling to get through the closed window.
"Sometimes I wonder..." She said flicking her wand and opening the panes so her feathery friend could come barrelling in. He was

We need to talk
Out of all the years he'd been alive, Riley'd known one thing about girls that was for certain; the words 'we,' 'need,' 'to,' and 'talk' out of their mouths in that order was never a good situation.
Never.
Riley frowned, silently scooping off his jacket as he turned for the door.
"Where you off to, now?" Miles asked dryly from where he lay on his bed.
Glancing back, Riley shrugged up his shoulder and said a very explanatory, "Angelina," before slipping out of the room.
It seemed like every girl in school had a bone to pick with him this week. Pansy Parkensin was still bugging him about her ruined sweater, Cecilia had thoroughly roasted him, Professor Sprout kept asking him to answer questions in class.
So what was one more round?
Sighing, Riley rounded the corner into the Qudditch locker room; a place he rarely found himself, but considering the girl he was meeting there..
... er, well.. That could've been a good thing or a bad thing.
"Angelina?"

Angelina. She heard her name and was sucked from the thought quickly. She felt reassured, hearing Riley's voice even though it sounded tentative and half scared-ish.
"Hey." Her voice echoed before her body appeared around a corner. Mocking a stern look she walked up to him with purpose before bursting into a comforted smile and wrapping her arms around Riley's neck.
"You looked scared." Angie mused, feeling better just hugging him. "Is meeting me that terrifying?"
Reply
"Not scared," Riley corrected her, leaning down for a quick, routine kiss of greeting, "Just frustrated.. tired."
Almost on que, he yawned. It was amazing how stress could run someone down.

"Well I won't keep you." Angie offered in a kind caring manner, tactfully hiding disappointment. "I just wanted to let you know that I'll be going into Hogsmeade this friday."
Pausing she turned her eyes downwards, her fingers finding his as she looked at his hands.
"To meet and talk with my father."

For some reason, those words sounded so much worse than 'We need to talk.'
Riley didn't censor himself, and let out a loud groan as he purposely leaned all of his weight on her, pretending to be so hopeless that he could barely stand.
"I've got an idea," he said, voice muffled in her hair, "'Ow 'bout you not go?"
Reply
"Well at this point I don't have much of a choice." Angie chuckled silently, her shoulders making both their bodies move.
"Besides. He's my father. He'll save any embarrassing outbursts of emotion for closed doors." With a slightly sarcastic tone she nestled against Riley's chest.
"He's just going to clear up some question I have. Harmless really." But Angie was nervous. After all, if it was nothing why did she need to run it by Riley?

"What questions.." He started, still unsure if it was any of his business as he routinely stroked her-- something he always did when they were like this, ".. are you, em, going to ask?"

Angie needed to know. Despite forgetting the moment she heard from her father was the moment it all came back.
"Besides," Pulling back a bit, calmed by his comforting motions. "He said a while back that he had some other important things to talk to me about. That it was 'time'. Whatever that means." Her mind went to two opposite ends of the spectrum; something ridiculous like how babies are made to something terribly serious.

Angelina was probably going to be upset, angry, all kinds of enraged; and since her father would be traveling home shortly after they talked, it was pretty obvious who would get to take the heat.
Damn..
Without warning, Riley tightened his hold on Angie's waist and pulled her up off the ground, "That's it, you're not going!"
Reply
"Put me down O'Dannihugh." Angie tried to maintain a serious look but wasn't doing such a good job.
Reply
"Not until you agree that you wont meet that man!"
Reply
"You can't hold me up forever." Angie pointed out, letting herself become dead weight in Riley's arms.
Reply
.. but yeah, he had an hour or so to make her think that.
"The hell I can't!" He shot back, slipping arm around her back and another under her bum-- for supportive purposes only, that is, "Agree, or I have no choice but to lock you in my dorm until it's over."
Reply
And probably regret it.
"Though the alternative doesn't exactly sound like much of a punishment."
Reply
"Wanna.." He started slowly, mischief slipping into his pearly whites, "Go up there.. anyway?"
Reply
"O'Dannihugh! I'm shocked!" Looking very disappointed Angie sighed.
"I can't believe it took you this long to ask." Kissing his nose quickly she waited for him to put her down, still very up in the air.
