First food
I had read about how some people don't puree and spoon feed their babies but just give them a hunk of soft food and let them explore and discover how to eat it themselves. I decided to try it today as River's first food. We gave her a hunk of avocado and she mushed it in her hands. At one point she put it in her mouth and gummed it but as soon as it got on her tongue she made an awful face and spit it out! Then she started laughing LOL She mostly wanted to mush it with her fingers and I got her to eat a bit more off my fingers but it was just a lot of fun to watch her. Here are some photos:
