FOUND - Specific fic search.
I'm looking for a specific fic on FF.net (at least I think so). This fic had 2 chapters, both from OC POV (two different OCs), who were newcomers to Camelot, when Merlin was already the Court Sorcerer, so during the Golden Age of Albion. It was not slash, but there was lots of fluffy bromance. ;D
The first OC came to Camelot and I think he was working as blacksmith (but maybe I have just imagined it), and he was amazed that the life in Camelot is so peacful. And he always wanted to see the King and the all-powerful Emrys, because he'd heard a lot abot them. And then he saw them on the street (although he didn't know who they were) and he thought that they were brothers. Later he had a picnic with them and Gwen (but he still didn't know their names). And later he saw them again, while he was talking with Elyan. Elyan said to him that these two were not brothers bu the king and his sorcerer, and then Arthur and Merlin came closer, and OC (narrator) was all like "OMG, I had a picnic with the King and Emrys". And after these two left, Elyan admitted to OC that maybe they were brothers after all.
The second chapter was from another OC POV and it was set some time after the firts one. He was another newcomer in Camelot, and he met the first OC in the yard. There was also Merlin returning to the Camelot, and Arthur greeting him, and when Arthur realised that Merlin is injured, he carried him to the castle (although Merlin was trying to protest). And the second OC was shocked to see how close Merlin and Arthur were, how young they were, etc. and the first OC said that he'd reacted the same way, when he was new in town.
