Looking for recs
You guys have been so helpful in the past I figure I'd try again with something new.
I'm currently working a story that has a dystopic society where people blindly following a made-up religion that causes them to look down upon all those who are different (magic users, homosexuals, followers of the "old way," etc.) Also, I've been reading The Help and it's put me in an odd mood about looking at social injustice.
Are there any fics out there that deal with alienating / segregating / looking down upon people with magic abilities. For lack of a better word, a society that's raciest against magic-users. Or in lieu of that, one where there is extreme homophobia or conflict of religious interests (pagan vs Christian). Pretty much anything with social injustice. Could be cannon, modern or overall AU.
