It won't be. As long as you make sure it isn't.
It wouldn't be because I'm a Gryffindor. It's because I'm a girl. I think I'm friendly enough with Susan anyhow, but at this point it doesn't really matter. Melinda is Melinda. I'm no Melinda.
And everything is always about who your talking to. That's why your talking to them! Best friends don't like hearing fom their best friends that they aren't the best. If Parvati told me that, I might hex her. You know, the old... 'aren't you my best friend? Aren't you supposed to back me 24/7?' kind of thing.
I did the same thing to Neville.... well, he did the same thing to me, I should say. He said something he shouldn't have, and I needed to get out of there before I did something stupid... and to think. I needed to think. But I was also very, very mad. And we are not mad at eachother anymore, so there's some light at the end of the tunnel right there for you.
Ooo... she was crying, was she? Justin Justin Justin... you did screw up royally, didn't you? Ah well, nothing that can't be fixed... only I can't really help you, besides this. Girl Rule, and all that.
And I know you didn't mean it. She'l get that too, once she remembers you're not a girl. That you don't think properly, because you're a boy.
Write her a letter, explaining everything. You like writting alot, and it is easier sometimes to write it all out then having to jam it into a conversation....

Yeah. Crying. And I just sat there. Like a bloody idiot.
Usually I would be offended about the not thinking properly thing, but because of the circumstances, I'm going to have to agree with you. For now, anyways.
You really have been a big help, Lavender. Writing her would definitely be better. It wouldn't be such upfront rejection from her. She'd be able to choose if and when she wanted to read it. Yes. Good idea.
I tried. She wasn't listening. But I guess I'm going to have to make her listen to me. Sometime. Before this become irreparable.

Don't be offended. You're a boy, it's natural! :)
Just make sure you back a letter with areal 'I'm sorry.'
I would go talk to her, but once again... girl rule, sorry... >_<
The only way it will become irreparable is if you let it become so. Just... don't attack her about it. Lay the ground rules... as in, say that you want to talk, and that Susan should just listen if she doesn't want to talk, and to not interupt you. Say you're sorry. THEN you explain, to the best of your ability, and then say you're sorry again. She may say something along the lines of, 'you just don't get it,' in which case you have to ask her to explain it to you, because you have no idea.
Also... you should give her a day or two to cool off. It may work out better that way then having her blow up again.

And don't promise me. Promise her.

I'm glad I'm a help... and anytime, really.
