I'm going to preface this with the absolute most sincere apology I've ever offered to anyone. In the entirety of my life. I really am sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I'll swear to that.
We, obviously, have some things we need to address. And you've made it clear that you don't want to be in the same room as me. So, I hope this will do something to help. Even something small. Anything, really.
Like I said, I didn't mean what I said. But the way you were acting about the whole Melinda situation hurt me. And something in me wanted you to hurt too. Looking back, I can understand how completely immature that was, but I'm a male. And I've read that we mature slower than you females. So, it's really a DNA thing. Ok, sorry, no more making light of such a serious situation. The thing I don't understand is your aversion to Melinda. I never noticed that you had a problem before and I just don't see why that changed.
You're my best friend. Nothing is going to change that. But I can't say that I'm not going to hang out with Mel. She's fun to be around. She makes me smile. She makes me think. She just has a positive...light coming from her. Which is something you know I need. After Sam. You, of all people, know I need that.
You've got Zach. I don't quite understand why. And I know that you're not looking for a relationship with him. It's just something fun for you. Why can't I have that? I'm not looking for a soulmate. I'm not looking for something serious. Not in the immediate future anyways. And, most of all, I'm not looking to replace you. You are and will always be first in my life, Susie. Please know that.
I'm praying to whoever will listen that I didn't completely mess things up with you. But the balls in your court. Do with it what you want. I'll be...around. Find me, if you'd like.
