Costuming Thought Progression
COSTUMES:
6 months before Dragon*Con: I have lots of time to do a really good job on five new costumes!
1 month before Dragon*Con: I still plan on hand-sewing all the trim.
3 days before leaving for Dragon*Con: IT'S GOING TOGETHER WITH ADHESIVE VELCRO.
WIGS:
6 months before Dragon*Con: This year I'll only wear costumes that don't need wigs!
1 month before Dragon*Con: I need three new wigs!
3 days before leaving for Dragon*Con: CARTOON LOKI HAS A LONG BLACK PONYTAIL SO THAT IS NOW A VALID HAIR CHOICE FOR WHEN I DECIDE I HATE MY WIG.
PROPS:
6 months before Dragon*Con: I will learn how to make fiberglass weapons!
1 month before Dragon*Con: I will learn how to make fiberglass weapons next year and just go with fun foam for this year.
3 days before leaving for Dragon*Con: I WILL HOT GLUE SOMETHING TOGETHER SOMEHOW IN ATLANTA.
JEWELRY:
6 months before Dragon*Con: I can make it out of hammered wire!
1 month before Dragon*Con: I can make it out of Sculpey!
3 days before leaving for Dragon*Con: THIS THING I FOUND FOR $2 AT WALMART IS CLOSE ENOUGH IF I COLOR IT WITH A GOLD MARKER.
ARMOR:
6 months before Dragon*Con: I'm making a chainmail shirt and it will be awesome!
1 month before Dragon*Con: I made a chainmail shirt and it is awesome!
3 days before leaving for Dragon*Con: WHY THE BALLS DID I EVER THINK A CHAINMAIL SHIRT WOULD BE AWESOME AND SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS HOW DO I PACK THIS MONSTROSITY.
