Lazy vacation is lazy

I'm back from a week on vacation. I should have used this week to finish all my DCon stuff (which I will need in 8 days, HOLY CRAP), but I did sweet FA instead. I took Althena, Odette, Bronze Elf Gown, Mithluin's Fëanorian star, and Elf Choir music to work on. I actually worked on the Bronze Gown (but it still needs eyelets in one lower sleeve), Mithluin's Fëanorian star (the only thing I finished), and Elf Choir music. I spent the rest of the time sitting around on the deck in my housecoat drinking tequila, because isn't that what everybody does at their parents' house?

So, to sum up, I have no costumes finished and just about everything is still where it was when I last posted an update.

The GOOD news is that the choir music is in way better shape than my costume collection. In addition to Lament for Gandalf (from last year), I've reworked In Dreams for SAB instead of just SA and have five new songs finished: May It Be, Twilight and Shadow, Evenstar, Lament for Moria (LotR Musical) and Now and for Always (LotR Musical). Three more songs that are almost complete are Arwen's Song/Houses of Healing, The Greatest Adventure (Rankin Bass Hobbit) and Saruman (LotR Musical).

The tentative lineup looks like this:
DCon Elf Choir: May It Be, Twilight and Shadow, Lament for Moria, plus one more (open to suggestions)
ALEP Elf Choir: Lament for Gandalf, Evenstar, Arwen's Song, Saruman
ALEP Hobbit Choir: In Dreams, Now and for Always, The Greatest Adventure, plus one more (likely Into the West)

Bonnie, let me know if you have any suggestions for changes or additions to the lineup! Or if anyone else has any awesome ideas, now's the time to pitch in your two cents. Nothing is final until I print the music handouts, which I'll be doing for DCon this weekend. ALEP choirs have another month to finalize.

Dragon*Con Elf Choir workshop runs at 5:30 on Friday, September 2nd in the Tolkien Track room. Come out and sing! Or even just sit and listen. Last year we had a lot of amazing singers and it sounded wonderful.

life awaits and i'm watching tv!, omfg this needs to be done now, costuming, alep, elvish singing is not a thing to miss, dragoncon
