My past few weeks have been exciting, scary, and unpredictable. I saw many more clients than I had in the past and this was beginning to get me thinking. I felt a little nervous and quivery seeing all of these extra people. I had never had a problem like this before and it really affected the way I thought about Piaget's theories on development stages. His "formal operational stage" is when we have progressed with our thinking capabilities and can retain knoledge. However, one thing that is usually bipassed in the understanding is the comfort zone we acquire throughout all of our stages of development. In meeting with more people to discuss their finances, I had to come out of my comfort zone in establishing business relationships with them. I finally realized this when I felt a little uncomfortable with my change of pace. People who want to move forward have to constantly adapt and change. Sometimes this means that we must come out of our comfort zone to do so. Like the saying goes "Successful people do the things that unsuccessful people aren't comfortable doing". This is what it all boils down to!
