Things are just getting crazier and crazier around here. Chip and I are going out again this coming up Friday to look at places to live. This time in a much better area, around Silver Spring/ Wheaton/ Rockville. Granted, it's a bit more expensive but it's worth it. We were also originally thinking about living with Gena for the first year but as time goes on, we're liking that idea less and less. I think the biggest part of that is because we are a newlywed couple and need some alone time to be a newlywed couple and frankly, we don't want to have to have quiet sex. Not that we're screamers or anything like that but damn't! if the bed begins to squeak, I don't want to think about who might be listening.
Another reason we don't want to live with Gena anymore is because she looking for places that have shorter leases so that when Mike is able to move over, he can move in with us. That's a good idea in principle but then we're gonna have to pay an extra $50 - $75 a month in rent for a shorter lease and we're kinda putting things on hold for people that might be living with us. Not something Chip and I really wanna do. Unlike Gena, Chip and I are living with my parents and we want to get out as soon as possible. One of the places we'll be looking at on Friday is available immediately and if it's as nice as it looks on it's website, we might be moving there shortly - with or without Gena.
Other news, there's a creepy kid that just started at Barnes and Noble. Well, not just but pretty recently. Anywho, he's creepy bc for some reason he started calling me "spanky-pants" and I tell you right now, I am down-right uncomfortable with that. Did I mention that he's only 16? Yea, that's an 8 year difference. What kills me is that I've told him ever since he started calling me that that I think it's very inappropiate for him to be saying things like that to me. And yet when he came in tonight, he called me it again. Then he said "You really don't like that do you?" He asked me why and I told him because "first, this is a place of business and it's extremely inappropiate, especially if a customer were to hear you" he interrupted me and said "it's because I'm young, isn't it?" Of course that's one of the reasons. For me that's the biggest one. And yes, I do sometimes playfully flirt with some of my co-workers but the ones I do that with, I've known for almost 4 years. It's harmless with them....with him, it's creepy and weird. Next time he does it, I'm taking him aside and explaining to him that I don't want him calling me that ever again and if he doesn't respect my wishes, the next person that will be talking to him will be a manager. Normally I'm pretty laid back about this kinda stuff but it's an inappropiate name, it makes me uncomfortable -- in short it's sexual harrassment.
Who the hell calls someone spanky-pants? Fucking perv.
