Someone told me this was a video and song Stan Bush did himself to try to get the Producers of the new movie to get the song in the movie, and it didn't work.... I think. Who knows. The soundtrack is usually the very last thing made for a movie. So even the though the movie comes out a month from now, doesn't mean someone can't slip it in the credits. How much effort does that take? Not much.
I agree with some commenters on Youtube. Stan Bush still has it. The Linkin Park wannabe rapper doesn't. The second half of the song isn't bad... it's just getting through the train disaster of the first half with the rapping that takes effort.
And who ever the guy in the white shirt is, he is WAY to happy, in fact he's kinda creepy.
I would say that if Stan Bush still has it, he left it at home that day. Cuz this is a super neutered version of the song. I understand Stan Bush is old, but hand the man a mic to wale into.
I'm not asking for the return of 80s style rock, but for "The Touch", you better throw down something that's going to get me pumped!
This version makes me want to stick a pistol in my mouth.
Me and my friend Greyghost who is commenting on this also hit the nail on the head on the phone.
The biggest problem with this version of the song is it has lost it's epicness. When you turn a "pick up and go" song into a mellow emo Linkin Park sounding song... you loose everything. It's almost like the Bon Jovi song "Livin on a Prayer.", Bon Jovi doesn't sing it like he did in the 80s, he sings it all mellow and sad... kinda like this version of the song.
It's like having The Touch is a sad problem...
"Shit man, you got problems? Have you ever had your back to the wall and fought to the end and taken it all? I got The Touch, I'm livin on a prayer. I don't need to hear your problems."
