Does this not make sense?
There is this guy I've been friends with since I got to Okinawa. We've hung out many times, we've had a few "deep" conversations, and overall I would say we were good friends. He made a Myspace page a few months ago and put most of us on his "top 8." When Lisa got here, he quickly made sure to get friendly with her, and now I'm off his top friends and replaced with Lisa. I'm upset about all of this, and I believe I am justified. I probably seem like the jealous husband, right?
Allow me to add a few details. One, he said that his "top 8" is who his favorite people are. So, we can deduce that his "top 8" is important to him, therefore anyone who is on it or not on it is not just coincidence, but on purpose. Second, he enjoys having affairs with married woman. He was recently "dating" a married girl, and has done the same multiple times in the past (approx. 5 times).
So now I need your opinion. Am I being too protective of my wife? Or is my concern justified? She swears she would never cheat on me but he can be a pretty convincing guy. The way he gets his married woman is to snatch them when they are having a fight with their husband. He'll be their ear to talk to and shoulder to cry on, then it gets to the point where having an affair becomes a possibility and sounds exciting. I absolutely hate it, and it makes me sick to even think about it. What if Lisa and I have a fight and she goes to him for advice/an ear to talk to? She has gotten very upset with me about this, and my way of thinking is that if she knows how much this is bothering me, she should think of how to remedy the situation rather than getting mad at me and thinking about how I'm being "ridiculous." I told her that if she was in my shoes she would be getting pissed off too.
She says, "fine, I'll just take him off and never talk to him again." Doesn't this sounds like she is trying to make me feel bad about the situation? I told her that it sounds like she's just being defensive and trying to make me feel bad and she just walked out the door (I'm at a wifi spot at the enlisted club).
