It's been over a month since I left for Swarthmore, so I feel like I should write a real update of sorts ( Read more... )

There are paths, which golf carts sometimes drive on, but no roads, no. Lots of grass and trees, though. It's really rather strange, now that I think about it.

My school work here is like the frog you place in cold water that is slowly being turned toward boiling; he swims along happily for a while and doesn't realize he's being cooked alive until it's too late. But, I mean, sitting in class and talking with my professors definitely makes up for it.

I'm glad that you're having more fun than in high school. Marist sort of sucked. And, even if Japanese is hard, you're definitely rocking it, Miss 104. :)

I cannot cannot wait to visit you (and maybe visit you twice, it's looking like?) and see your roads! And you, of course. But I'm mostly excited about the roads. And Magnetic Fields! :) :) (I feel like Emily in the Year of the Secret Assignments with all my smiley faces.)

As far as Imaginary Heroes, a girl in my quad's high school was the site of filming for Emperor's Club, which also has Emile Hirsch. And I was like, "OH I like that one depressing movie that he's in... you know??" And she was like, "... Actually, I don't know." And I couldn't think of it, so I had to ask, or it would have bothered me all day. ;D Evidently, he isn't a very nice person in real life. :(
