Easter, Over and Out

Easter was good.  The only real tradition in my family for this holiday is that it is always at my mom's house.  We had the usual yummy ham, along with mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, dinner rolls, cole slaw made the way my gramma used to make it (with the usual cole slaw cabbage mix, but also chunks of tomato and with miracle whip instead of slaw dressing, so very tasty), and for dessert - pie (apple, cherry, and chocolate silk).  The Easter egg hunt was fun (but it took my sister & I longer to hide the eggs than it did for the kids to find them).

It was a nice time.  The weather was a little cool but hey, at least no snow, right?  I remember several Easters when I was a little girl, hunting the pretty eggs in snow (made the eggs pretty easy to find, I must say).  I think the biggest disappointment was that my brother & his girlfriend had to work so couldn't come to Easter dinner.  The only other disappointment is that the photos I took didn't turn out well.  Ah, such is life, no big deal!

Okay, my world is crazy now... I had to drive my sister's kids home yesterday and by the time I returned, at about midnight (it's a 2-hour drive), I was exhausted & my knee was killing me (my dog knocked me down yesterday and I injured my left knee slightly)... anyway, Meaghan and I slept for about 3 1/2 hours at my mom's & then we came home, but I haven't been able to get to sleep since we got here, even though I'm exhausted.  Anywho, the point is, I think I had better go try to get some sleep before my little princess awakens and wants me to be awake too!!

Have a wonderful week.
