Two days ago now, on the 19th, Andrew and I celebrated our first anniversary.
He had to work of course, but the evening before he'd made sure that everything was nice and clean for me to study in, so sweet.
When he came home from work, we went out and he told me that I should buy an outfit for the night, no matter what the cost. I didn't really feel like shopping though because of the cold, so we came back home and I just put on a really nice dress that I had here.
Then we went to
this restaurant, which was sooo fancy. Incredibly expensive too, but the food was gorgeous, like pieces of art on your plate. I do apologize for not taking any pictures, but it would have completely been out of place! It's the type of place where you pay 15 euro for a glass of champagne and don't know what you're eating half the time. But it was incredibly romantic.
Then we shivered home, and after I brushed my teeth I opened the door to the bedroom, which my brother and his girlfriend had secretly decorated in our absence. I'll upload some pics later.
Then yesterday night, we went out with the girls from Purl and Stitch, our knitting/crochet group, and the partners. First the girls went to a couple of yarn stores in Gent, saw the most beautiful yarns but I didn't get anything. After that we went with all the men as well to a wok restaurant. There were 12 of us, so quite a big group. We had a great cozy time, good food, good conversation, good lychee wine.
Andrew's got one day of work left and then he has two weeks off, unfortunately I'll have to study, but that leaves him all the time he wants to play his computer games.
See you later!
