....you gotta lose someday. The Undead are the biggest PITA's of the bunch, and if nobody takes care of the generals = loss time. You'll get the AC back, and the prisoners too.
Not just healing them generals, either. Buff em too. Serpent Generals make gloriously good pets, I adopt one (or more, if my "pet" clears an area and goes back to sentry mode) and keep them perky, healthy, and lively.
Last Undead attack, I kept the greatsworded Hume general going for a half hour straight, and he actually took down the boss. :)
Lot of losing to the Mamool Ja, though. General Galadar is a godsend for defense, though. Him and the RNG female are both easy to defend, because they don't rush up into the middle of the fight, and get themselves smacked from every direction. You can voke off them, and keep it off them.
Diabolos almost lost to the undead last night, as well. When we first started, there were only 335 people in the zone, at least when I first checked... By the end, there were still less than 500. It took us over half an hour, and everyone was -ga'ing all of the mobs on the general and trying to kite them away from the general...
One thing I never notice other people do....kh_wandererJuly 5 2006, 14:44:46 UTC
Haste your Generals.
Yes, you heard me. Haste them. Protect IV and Shell IV them for good measure. DoT their targets. Bio II on their attackers does a fair job of gimping monster damage, and it's guaranteed damage, AND it extends a General's lifespan. Poison II tends to stick nicely as well. Gravity also can work at times.
Treat them like the leaders they are supposed to be. Frequently, they can out-damage most of the adventurers when buffed properly, have insane regen rates, and can singlehandely destroy a mega boss (and end the event) if supported. Buffed, they shrug off bomb selfdestructs and tear up normal mobs like tissue paper.
