Honey I don't want to be okay with never seeing you again

I had read a friend's tweet the other day wanting journal-types to make a comeback. I decided recently to look at this LJ, given its been a couple years since the last post.

I suppose I should conclude the story about my mother, the situation that happened in 2013.
See, I got a new car in May that year. With that new car, the urge for a road trip began to itch.

Fast forward to July and the idea of getting my cousins' things back from my mother came to fruition. Tossed the idea to my dad and he asked if we contacted them at all. Turns out they changed their phone numbers so we used Twitter as a method of communication.
The initial response was that of extortion. They demanded we pay them to get his things back. We began to turn to legal help as they tried to "threaten" me with police action, saying things like my tweets and facebook posts were "disturbing" and I had a police file. I had later recieved word that I had a restraining order placed on me but later discovered it was a bluff.
Tweeting about legal help may have pushed them to open the door. They gave us dates in which we could arrive, saying that police would be there to look over the situation. A quick phone call to the police in the area revealed that it was another bluff, though at this point it was already sealed.
My dad requested to take my cousins place which would make my drive down there easier with a 2nd driver.

The conversation via Twitter

I hit the image limit. One more photo where he threatens me with "keep tweeting. Let the world are you for what you are." Before establishing date and time. Never mess with me.

We drove and came home all in one day. 18+hour drive.

I haven't spoken to her since. It's been almost 2 years now and still do not regret a moment.

About a week and a half later, Jackie and I went and saw Frank Turner play with Off With Their Heads, one of my favorite shows I've seen to date (and I've seen a handful in the last few years).

I'll write more eventually. More on my work fuck up and the rest of the terrible year that was 2014
