By this point in time, the town had started to feel somewhat like home. Not in the sense that he felt completely comfortable, but in the sense that he could almost walk around town blind folded, without running into anything. Instantly, he recognized each and every store he passed. He knew exactly what each store held. To be honest, it was almost comfortable. Almost. Part of Squall was beginning to hate the repetition. Being stuck in one small town for nearly half a year, would be enough to drive anybody insane, right? Kanda had pretty much proven that point, in Squall's opinion

No matter how hard he attempted to ignore the pain, the dull throbbing made sure to be a dutiful reminder. Ever so often, the brunette clenched his teeth out of both frustration and anger. Frustration was the result of feeling a mixture of emotions, on top of the physical pain. He had let Mello down. That was how he felt, anyway. He had failed to be more observant, and less reckless.

The anger would be thought to be directed to the one known as Kanda. This was not the case. Not completely, anyway. After doing some quick research on the device (or as quickly as he could manage), Matt had discovered that it could very well be the one known as "The Joker" that was to blame. Unfortunately, he had not had enough time to confirm this, before he Mello's message about help being found was read. With a sigh, Matt turned the device off.

As he stood, Matt closed and pocketed the device. He looked down a moment, in thought, before walking out of his bedroom and into the living room. It was then that he heard a knock.

The blonde looked at Matt as he walked out and then the door. Silently he stood up and walked towards the door, a wave of secret relief hit him knowing that this was probably Squall. Mello hadn't been able to concentrate properly since this had happened, he was kicking himself that he'd had to ask for help, when really everything should have gone according to plan.

His fingers curled around the door handle and he pulled it open. Seeing that it was Squall, . Mello nodded in a way of silent gratitude and stepped out of the way so he could come inside "Come in"

The brunette nodded at the blonde, before glancing over at the other brunette. Squall assumed (mostly from the fact that the brown-haired man's arm was in at a slink) that he was the one Squall was supposed to heal. Nodding in response to Mello, the mercenary then took a few steps into the room. He gave a quick glance around, seeing mostly chocolate wrappers, empty cigarette packs, and old chip bags and soda cans laying around. It also appeared that one of the two men enjoyed video games. A lot. There were several hand-held games laying on a table.

Squall did not comment on the conditions of the apartment. Instead, he turned to the blonde (since he had been the one to greet him, Squall assumed he was the one to go to with any questions).

"Is the broken arm the only thing that needs to be healed?"

((You can skip Matt this round. All he's doing is standing there, really. ._.))

Mello hadn't picked up on Squall's thoughts about the condition of the apartment. To be honest this was the way both he and Matt had always been messy like this, this was just the norm. The cases both he and Matt worked on together were more important.

The blonde nodded in responce to Squall's question. Despite the fact that he too had obtained an injury (and done a bad job of bandaging his wound) Mello was too proud to allow the other brunette to heal him, that and he was still pissed off at himself for having to ask Squall for help. The blonde was kicking himself for the entire situation with Kanda.
