Kanda stood on top of the factory with a hand on Mugen, watching the scene below him from a spot he was sure to remain unseen from. He counted six people so far come to rescue Naminé and felt his lips twitch. He spotted Allen and Rinali easily from the distance and flexed his fingers around Mugen's hilt eagerly. Looks like the puppets were rather easy to be manipulated.

He laughed softly and ran a hand through his hair. He hadn't been sure about the Joker's plan when he'd approached him about helping, but now watching the puppets flocking to the warehouse, he knew the Joker was right. This was going to be fun.

Blue eyes widened as someone suddenly landed in front of him. A brief "HOLY SHIT, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT??" expression appeared on his face, before he frowned and went back to looking at the building. He scanned the buildings, slowly, looking in all of the windows as he ran his eyes over the vacant.

... Suddenly, they stopped. Narrowing his eyes, Squall studied the figure on top of the building. Why was he here? No offense to Kanda, but Squall could not see the exorcist being here with the intentions of helping Naminé...

"Kanda?"

The name came out in a somewhat low tone as the brunette frowned up at the dark-haired man. Something told Squall that this... was definitely not going to end well.

Kanda frowns as he's discovered, maybe he hadn't be hiding as well as he'd thought. He kept his expression neutral however as he stepped forward into the light, hair whipping in the breeze.

"Hn. You all had the same idea too?" He frowned at them in annoyance, hoping that they'd buy the lie. After all why wouldn't he come help?

He'd wait until the opportune moment to strike. Until then, he'd just hope they bought his little charade.

Pit looked up in the direction of where Squall was looking to see Kanda. He wasn't sure about him, he didn't really understand why he'd appeared here too. Did he know the girl who'd been captured?

His remark kinda answered that, Pit was still a little uneasy by him but he did say he wasn't going to hurt or kill anyone, right?

For now Pit said nothing, he didn't know this guy very well at all but obviously the people in this group did. All he could really do for now is wait to see the others reactiosn to him and concentrate on saving Namine.

"Kanda?" Rinali looked over at the other Exorcist. She was oddly worried - maybe it was because she had seen the conversation between Allen and Kanda.

How he'd been calling everyone a puppet. Rinali frowned a bit, but it disappeared as soon as it had appeared. She hoped she was just being silly.

Mello followed Matts gaze up to the building the others were staring at. There was someone standing up there. The blonde frowned slightly, as far as he was concerned the person up there had nothing at all to do with the investigation at all. The fact that everyone besides the guy with the chainsaw was distracted with that meant that they wouldn't get in their way.

"Just leave them to it, they won't get in our way if they're distracted by that"

Lavi set out on his own since he was living alone at a new residence he decided to take up-the library-and followed his device to where everybody was congrgating.

He took out his hammer in its miniature form just to be safe. He had been sitting idly doing nothing but research this whole time and he wanted in on some of the action. Plus, kidnapping a little girl was seriously low.

The red-head came about the group of people that came together and recognized most. He scanned them with his single eye and spotted the familiar white-haired boy. Then next to him a familiar asian girl he hadn't seen in ages.

He ran up to them all quickly shouting. "Allen! Rinali! Squall!"

Giving a quick blink of surprise as he heard his name get called out by the voice of the one person he, at one point, had thought he would never see again, Allen turned his head a little. As his eyes feel on Lavi, a brief expression that hinted towards stress and sadness fell over the white-haired boy's face. Of course, he was quick to replace it with a somewhat forced smile.

Fortunately, he had taken the time to find new clothes, to replace the ones that had been tattered. He had also regained some of the weight that had been dramatically lost during the time Lavi went missing.

"Lavi... you made it!"

The brunette nodded to Mello's words, obediently. Of course, that did not mean Matt did not have a bad feeling about whatever was up there. It probably showed by the way he hesitated before looking back at Mello, then glancing over at the other people, including the newcomer.

"I'm ready when you are."

Goggle-covered blue eyes returned to the older one, before taking one last drag of the cigarette. Dropping it to the ground, he pressed the toe of his boot against it and put it out.

Squall heard his name get called and glanced over to see Lavi. The hint of a frown could be seen on his face, before he looked back up at Kanda. There was an uneasy look in his eyes, despite his expression being calm as he looked at the dark-haired exorcist on the rooftop. The brunette then glanced down at three that were standing closest to the factory a moment, before returning his gaze to Kanda. The mercenary was currently going over Kanda's words. Same idea? ... There was no way Kanda was here because he was worried about Naminé.

... Right?

That did not mean Squall would not play along, ...for now. He had a casual expression on his face and pretended to turn and watch Lavi and Allen, while he was actually watching Kanda closely in his peripheral vision.

Kanda surveyed the group with a frown, judging their strength from his position. He twitched slightly at the arrival of that stupid rabbit and narrowed his eyes at him briefly before shifting his gaze to the two nearer the building. Friends of L, he thought they were, newer puppets. They were also moving to enter the building. He couldn't allow that.

His frown turned into a malicious grin as he suddenly leapt off the building, drawing Mugen as he fell and aiming to kick the one wearing the goggles. His jacket and hair fluttered around him as he fell much reminiscence of his and Allen's first building.

If he had been expecting anything, a black haired Japanese man leaping down and kicking him was certainly not one of them. He barely even had time to widen his eyes in shock. Fortunately, his reflexes were on his side well enough, and his arm instantly moved up to guard his face. However, this guy was strong. The sickening sound that came as a result of boot colliding with a mere arm could probably be heard a mile away as bones snapped in half. It took a lot for Matt not to cry out.

Gritting his teeth and dropping to one knee, though? There was nothing in his willpower that could stop him from doing that much. Goggle-covered blue eyes widened and Matt appeared to obviously be a little... in shock.

Mello hadn't been paying much attention to the person in question here. He'd let his guard down to find the girl and get this over and done with. It was only until he heard a loud crunch and felt something brush against his arm. Matt. He had to stop himself from letting a shocked gasp escape from his throat.

The blonde's eyes widened as he saw the brunette on one knee in pain. He looked up at the attacker, his teeth gritted and his blue eyes angry. He went to reach for his gun, until he remembered that he didn't have it here. He was too angry right now to logically think about what to do.

"Fucking bastard!" he yelled, as he swung a punch at the attacker.

Since he had been watching Kanda closely, it took a mere second for him to quickly turn and narrow his eyes at Kanda. Blue eyes widened a little as the brunette man was kicked and sent down to one knee. That... was far from called for. In fact, 'uncalled for' was an understatement. Gritting his teeth, he rushed forward until he was only a few feet away from Kanda. Of course, as he had done that, the blonde-haired man had swung at Kanda.

"Tch..."

Quickly changing his plans a little, Squall decided to stand fast. Now that he thought about it, he had no idea who the blonde-haired and the other brunette were. There was always the chance that those two were not entirely victims here, ... right? Then again, that was highly doubtful. They had just been standing there...

A gasp escaped Pits throat when he witnessed the attack. He went to spring forward, bow at the ready, but the blonde haired man had made the move. He stopped and looked at the man who'd agreed to help with the search, he'd stopped moving too.

He pulled a confused face, what was going on?

Kanda grinned at the satisfying crunch sound as he dropped gracefully beside the now wounded brunet. That was almost...fun. Then, as expected, the blonde attacked and he quickly danced back out of range bringing Mugen up to block, laughing.

"Why so upset, scarface?" He mocked as he held his sword between them. "You really should pay more attention to your surroundings. He spared a glance at the other's gathered, giving a particularly cruel look towards his fellow Exorcists. "You never know who's going to betray you."
