Encore!!!
When you've sucked... you know you've sucked and when you've kicked ass, you know you've kicked ass. Tonight was far better than last night and the best part is that the show tonight was the one that was taped to be shown on TV. "The Shrink" will be hitting Broadway anytime now. Keep your eyes peeled.
We through in a number of things that we didn't have in on the first night. It gained us a whole crap load of laughs. "It hurts so bad!!!" That would be what I screamed as Dave smacked me in the back of the head two consecutive times with a note book.
The stage is definitely garnering my love. I mean... when you don't get nervous, it's really easy to be up there and just having the time of your life and that's what we were doing. We knew we could get the laughs and repsonse from the crowd that we wanted, it was a matter of piecing it together correctly and we pulled that off with adlibbing. I think we did a damn good job.
This week just keeps getting better. We had a great performance on Monday, a killer performance tonight, and tomorrow I have career day. I get to listen to people talk about their jobs all day rather than do real school work. Sometimes you just have to love being a Junior, ya know it? This week is going to be so awesome *nodnod*.
I'm starting to wonder now. I know on the night of the dress rehearsal I said I was rejuvenated and ready to kick some ass at the talent show, but this has been beyond what I thought and the best part is that it's leading into more good times. If I can keep this good feeling going till we go to D.C., it'll be the normal Matt by the time we get back. Hell yeah.
This is such a great feeling. If you came to opening night and saw us, be sure to watch us on GBS television again. It's sooo much better on the second show.
