Live Creation. Breathe Creation.

Well, it seems like I've been living and breathing our Summer trip lately. Everything has been about Creation (except for that occasional forward look to next Summer and IYC '09 in San Diego, CA)... oy! I'm really excited for it, but I recognize what a great undertaking it is. When we went to Tennessee last year for IYC '07, the biggest issue I had to worry about was getting us all down there. After that, I pretty much just had to make sure the kids were going to what they were supposed to and we were good. We were staying at a college, meals provided, good stuff.

This is a little different. We're camping in a field. I've got to make sure we have all our bases covered concerning our gear. I've got to make sure we have enough food for 17 people to eat for 4 and a half days. Those are probably my two biggest concerns. I'm worried that we're going to forget something essential or we're going to run out of food. The food thing isn't the end of the world since it's pretty easy to drive into town and get more of whatever we might need, but yeah...

Wednesday we're having a Graduation Party for our seniors, but it also serves as a Parent Meeting night. That's when we'll have our official Creation meeting to answer all of the parents questions. That can be a kind of stressful time, but I did all right last year when it came to covering my bases with parents for taking their kids to Tennessee. Creation is only three and a half hours away.

I'm really excited to go. I just wish it would get here already. I feel like I'm getting everything in order quickly because I need to, but if I keep going out the pace I am there's going to be a lot of time for me to get worked up before actually going. On the other hand, there will be a lot of time for me to remember things we might be forgetting. I'm really basing everything off of the time I went four years ago. I called Jason up so he could help me remember things we did.

I just wish it would get here!
