New Computer
Well here I am updating LJ on my new computer! Was I really planning on getting a new computer? Nope, but the Motherboard went in my old one. The part was discontinued and the computer repair place said it'd probably be half the cost of a new computer to find the part somewhere. So I ordered a new computer for $400 and it ended up going on back order. That really annoyed me, but it turned out for the best!
In replacement of the computer that went on back order, the company was offering a different one with the some upgrades for the same price. I jumped. It turned out to have more upgrades than the computer store even thought it would have. On Acer's website they're selling this exact computer for $569, but since it was a replacement for the out of stock one I got it for $400! Woohoo!!
Cool new things? Well, it has Windows Vista. That's something new for me. My old computer had XP. It also has a DVD burner. Old computer just had a CD burner. Hard Drives A LOT bigger. Memory's well over twice as much and the processor's a lot better too.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. ;)
