(no subject)
so... i'm at work and i step out to get a bottle of water at the barn
i come back, there are these two guys, wearing thugged out clothing, very white, i'd say early
20's. I come up, they are kicking the door, twisting the handle, trying to get the door to open. I walk up behind them.
G1 "fuck man, it's not open"
G2 "fucking hell, it's never open"
Me: "well... it does say on the sign that it'll be open at 2:45, that's, 5 minutes from now"
G1 *kicks the door again*
G2: "you know he's just in the back ignoring us or something"
G1 "ya"
Me: "i know i know, i bet if you kick the door harder and yell alot he'd probably come to the door faster too"
G2 "ya shit man, you know it"
I continue to goad them on about how stupid the guy is inside for not running to the door when they are hitting it and what not, i check my cell phone, pull out my keys and go to open the
G2 "hey, what are you doing?"
Me: "It's 2:45, i've got to get back to work"
they didn't even come in
Finally on my reading week, i've been pushing myself insanely hard to get this far. Everyone in my class has, i mean, if you ever see a telecom grad from sheridan, shake their hand and tell them you are proud. The work is only mildly difficult but the volume is absurd! it just doesn't stop flowing! my brain runs like this: test, assignment, test, class, assignment,project, eat, project, class, test, test, sleep, midterm, superheroes, assignment. The whole lot of us are banding together, at the school till 1 o'clock am sunday night! (monday morning whatever)just to keep up. WE're not stupid, it's just a lot of work, you pretty much have to dedicate every waking hour to at least thinking about what you've learned if not actually studying actively. There is no reason that it takes 10 people a good 8 hours working together non stop to try and do 1 lab for 1 course. My linux course has us reading a text book out of class, and teaching us entirely non related material in class, but testing us on both. Not only on both but on subject matter the teacher ADMITTED he wasn't clear on. We don't have to give the right answer, we have to give the answer he will give us marks for. it's not a good way to be.
I HAVE A CAR finally, need it for my coop term. I'm wheels enabled now and it's pretty sweet, 2003 civic lx, runs smooth :) This weekend is the big halloween party, i'm expecting a huge turnout, it's going to be fun.
Also, i unlocked the land of carnage in disgaea 2. *applause*
