The list (revisited)

May 09, 2008 12:49

Its been six long months since November. Looking over my last post and I feel like a six month mark is a good time to re-assess the situation.
Here is my list followed by commentary on my progress:

1. read a book of my choosing
*Well, I've read half a book and lots of poetry, does that count? Cerius Blooms at Night is the book, and it is amazing, incredible book that Tina let me borrow. I will make an effort to finish it tonight. I like to say i have had no time, and while that is partially true, my priorities are also awry.
2. get paid full time
*so i still work full time at HomeAide doing marketing. I am less then enthused about this, but hey i make a living wage and have been able to also work part time at Magnolia Women's Recovery Program as the case manager. That is good stuff, lots of baby love. Baby screams, baby puke.
3. make/have a baby, get excited,do all that good kinda stuff
*hasn't happened yet but i refuse to give up.
4. have Laura's baby shower
*Laura's baby shower was a success and now we even have a new little person in our community. Nicholas Monet. So incredible, I am blessed to have been apart of the process.
5. spend time with friends, especially the ones i don't see often enough
*unfortunately i forgot that most friends i rarely see were still working on graduating, so now that that is almost over this should work out.
6. take a yoga class
*ha...ha ha
7. go to a concert
*hmm, not that I remember. I would like to though.
8. get CCWP emersed
*this isn't happening either. I have gone on visits and done follow up, but because of Magnolia and HomeAide have not been able to attend many meetings.
9. beauty day
*A few actually, they are the fucking best.
10. clean my house and closet included
*I moved upstairs and i clean all the time because i live in the most beautiful house ever.
11. go for hikes, walks, etc.
*Actually yeah, have been on a few good hikes, need to walk more. Mostly go to the gym.
12. cook, learn to cook more
*yes yes and yes, so much! I am becoming a professional
13. go to the farmers market on weekends
* a few.
14. go on dates with my man
*yes, and our two year anniversary is coming up on the 15th of May, we rock!
15. rent LOTS of movies and The Wire tv show series
*The Wire is now my favorite show of all time.
16. meditate more...lots and lots
*I don't know what the fuck this means.
