Well, I'm stood up....again. I mean, yes, it is for a very good reason (his little girl is in the hospital)and last week I think was plausible too but two weeks in a row! Feh! Due to schedules, Wednesdays is the only day we can synchronize so now I have to wait until next week which may not be possible because I'm going to drive 7 hours on Thursday ( Read more... )

Going to get some new ink, that's what! Seriously though, every year we pack up the whole family (me, Liam, Harry and Bree) and head to Maine for the Mad Hatter's Tattoo Convention. Liam goes to take pictures and I just kinda walk around with the rest of the gang watching the tattooists and sometimes I get one done. We also go to the outlet shops, high tea at the convention, a family amusement place and an amazing Mexican Restaurant called Margarita's. Of course, this year will be very different. I'm going to get out of the city first of all because I really need to and also because it is something we do every year and I don't want to change routines too much yet. And I love Maine. But this year I am getting a Daffy Duck tattoo (Liam's favorite Looney Tunes character) of Daffy running, looking stressed and holding a heart. I am having Liam's name and that infamous date placed in the heart and I'm having it tattooed over my heart. This might be the last year we go to the convention since Liam really liked to go the most and I'm no good with a camera yet. And I need to do this for me and for him.

So have you thought of cheerleading as a sideline profession?! (Grins, ducks and runs)

Just kidding of course. Hope you didn't take that as overstepping. He has been a wonderful friend to me over the last few months, lending me good cheer and support just when I need it.

As David mentioned downthread, I was trying to say that cheerleading was a full-time job for him, with me in his life.... I realized just how possessive that sounded as I hit the send key, and didn't have time to go back and post a clarification. I wasn't trying to run you off, I swear.... *blush*

Got it. I believe you. Thanks very much for clarifying. Whew! Thought I'd really screwed up. You are definitely not someone I want to count as being on my bad side.

Heh. Well, first, I think Kiri was saying I have to be a full time cheerleader for her benefit, but I had to read it twice to be sure.

Second, d'you know what cheerleaders become when they grow up?

Flag wavers for the road construction crews....

Yes, I was, and I realized as soon as I hit the post button that I should have specified. My apologies to both of you for coming across so poorly.
