Mom, again

May 15, 2012 18:23

Mom came home from the hospital on Friday.

Mom is on her way to the hospital with a possible dislocated or broken thumb. She has no idea what she did but it's black and blue and looks wrong.

Sigh.

UPDATE: Her thumb is not broken, it's just a deformity due to arthritis. Still don't know how she got the bad bruse though.

If she bruises at all easily, she might not. I often look like someone's been at me with a ball peen hammer. Okay, not really. But I bruise fairly easily, and I've often got purple marks I can't explain.

She's not a super easy bruiser or at least she wasn't. I get bruises sometimes that I don't know how it happened either. I'm worried because she is bruising more frequently and is forgetting how it happened. Mom occassionally has blackouts and falls or bumps herself and I'm hoping this is not that. We've had bloodwork and MRIs done to figure out what that is but couldn't get a handle on it.

Dang! If it's not one thing, it's another. I'm glad it didn't turn out to be more serious. How *you* doing?

I am stretched pretty thin and very, very tired. Coping and managing but that's about it. Thanks for asking. :)
