Piano Bar, Part Two
We went back to Jake's Place tonight and enjoyed a little over an hour of piano bar with the same two players. Howard requested California Dreaming and Walking in Memphis and they played both. They also played American Pie, Sweet Caroline, Total Eclipse of the Heart and Don't Stop Believing as well as a host of other songs. There was banter and a few rude jokes. Certainly not Rose's but the feel was there. It was like coming home. Also, the best part? Bree was able to be there with us. 3 cheers for Bree's first piano bar experience. She always wanted to be able to go to Rose's, from listening to our stories. She thanked the piano players for her first piano bar experience. It was a lot of fun singing along with her. Unfortunately, that was their last night but I'm glad we got to go twice.
