Deep thoughts

May 24, 2011 05:48

As I said to my best friend last night, when situations are black and white, they are easier for me to endure because the outcome is finite. When situations fall into a gray area, the possibilities are multiplied, increasing the stress factor. But when things are indefinitely bleak, with no clear outcome even remotely in sight, the number of final outcomes are endless but the ability to sustain endurance and hope becomes very limited. Even the light of the oncoming train is still a light, and far better than stumbling around in the darkness. At least then, I'd have a definite outcome.

deep thoughts, cope
