Comic con
Too tired to post properly after two days of wandering around a very disorganized, very crowded con.
Here's my highlights:
I had my picture taken with a Wookie. (yes, there is a picture)
I saw STAN LEE on his way to take a piss. Apparently he needs a 6 man security detail to do that.
I got a decent shot of Lou Ferrigno while he was signing autographs.
Sat in on a Green Hornet panel and learned a lot about another of my favorite characters, The Lone Ranger.
Scored some BPAL samples.
Harry and I bought a litho of the Joker and Harley Quinn, signed by the illustrator to us.
We all sat in on the Bruce Campbell Spotlight which was an hour of Q&A awesomeness with the man himself.
I got lots of compliments on my Scooby Doo and Velma Zombie t-shirt.
All in all a lot of fun. Bree also went to a Gaia forum and bought a wig she wanted. We had a great dinner yesterday at El Sitio in Jackson Heights and another great dinner at Ruby Tuesday's tonight. We made the waitress in training's night by telling her, her trainer and the manager how awesome she was. I also made friends with a disabled young man from England on the train and that was made of win too. It's easy for me to tell when they are "One of mine" but somehow they seem to figure it out too. It was a lovely conversation and he had a love of Mustangs and went nuts when we showed him a picture of my car.
This is the best weekend I've had in a while. I really don't mind that my day off tomorrow will be catching up on domestic chores. This weekend was just too cool.
