More action in the first but better story writing in the second. The script could have been tighter. I think there were things in the novelization, based on the screenplay, that would have worked better than what ended up being filmed.It lags in places but the characters are handled well and the set up for things to come has definitely happened. Overall, I really liked it.

On a fan girl note, omg the rdj hotness!!! Cue the tank top again!!! Yowza. Ahem.

Oh and definitely stay through all the credits. 'nuf said.
