Ta ta Marf and two weeks worth of rapidly diminishing memories!
Well another two weeks pass until I get my arse into gear, but in all fairness I have been busy.
A week last Friday was Martha's leaving outing to The Boot and Last Orders, loadfs of people came out, Die, Chris & new girlfriend, Paper, Kira & Dave, Kev, Juliet, John & Gwen and more. Wore the buckle corset for the first time out and felt pretty good, got lots of compliments. Last Orders had shocking music (was like a classic rock night in 10 years or a contemporary rock night 10 years ago...bad).
I seem to remember Saturday being quite lazy but no specific details, Sunday Scott and I went for a walk around the village and up the canal, saw miniature ponies, a dead fish in a puddle and some graffiti Marf, Kira and I did about 12 years ago (in chalk!), mainly just band names e.g. CRADLE OF FILTH VEMPIRE, MACHINE HEAD, haha! Martha left to go and work at the Uni in Nottingham, I gave her an early birthday present of the Tatty Divine Moustache necklace, she seemed very pleased at this.
Monday eve I left work early to meet Neil and got to Leeds in super quick time for rush hour to go to the Pagan Fest (or PAGON according to the ticket), it was absolutely rammed but with fewer plastic sword waving nobbers than I expected! Line-up was Eluvietie (who had a hurdy gurdy!), Tyr, Moonsorrow, Korpiklaani (Happy Little Boozer!!!) and Ensiferum. Was so bloody hot in there so didn't do much moving, some of the bands got a bit samey at times.
Thursday night I drove to Liverpool, met Scott in The Swan along with Rob & Kat. Stayed there for a while before going to the Zanzibar but alas still got to see Sadistic Undertorturer. Paul was there which was a good surprise. Matty's band Neuroma were up next and were very good. then it was Ethereal with Campbell on guitar for the first time, they were good and the singer pulled some amusing eyebrow poses! Apollyon were on next but didn't grab my attention much. Just about managed to navigate out of Liverpool, stupid diversion which led to a dead end!!!!
Scott came round on Friday and I had some wine and watched Monty Python and Serial Mom. On Saturday I spoke to Marf for about an hour. We thought it was going to pour down so went to Chester to get birthday presents, it didn't rain!! Home to have Mexican Hot Dish from a recipe emailed to Mum by the Crime Write Joanna Fluke who writes comedy thrillers with a baking theme, it was very nice. Ate whilst watching Doctor Who which had an almighty NOOOOoooOOOoooOO at the end! After getting some booze we watched 30 Days of Night which was pretty good, I liked the fact the Vampires had their own language!
Sunday I read the first Spiderwick Chronicles book (didn't take long) Scott had band practice so I attacked my room again, nicked Marf's mattress, got rid of some stuff, anf did lots of vacuuming. Stopped for Pot Roast, Scott returned and had a nice night in.
This evening I finished off my room, caught up on the Terminator series and also watched Pushing Daises. Also happy as today I finally figured out what to get my Dad for his birthday which is always difficult.
