Ski jumping is fun as hell.
OK folks, as you may know, last March I took up ski jumping. The K70 jump in Bloomington has taunted me for most of my life.
So, I've gone four times this year. The coaching is great. The workout is fantastic. The people are extremely nice.
And it's fun as hell. I've only gone off the K10 jump (which means a good jumper would go 10 meters) so far, which isn't much. But it's a blast.
I'm old. But I'm adventurous, dammit.
I am going to be competing in a competition on Saturday in Bloomington. Come out and watch... I'll be on the 10 meter at 1pm at the Bush Lake Ski Jumps.
Meanwhile, silvrayn has also come ski jumping with me and has been doing great... tonight she fell hard, dented her helmet, and bruised her chin... but she's a trooper and is doing great.
Come out on Saturday and watch me lose a competition!
