Something kind of cool just happened...I went to the market to pick up some biscotti (appropriately enough) and these three Italians came up to me and asked me some questions in Italian (including, of course, "do you speak Italian?"). They were asking where the gloves were to handle the produce and thought it was strange that there were none (if you know anything about Italian markets, they are CRAZY strict about wearing gloves when handling produce). I felt so cool answering them and they were fortunate enough to find probably the one person in the store who spoke their language. Now I know my Italian can be of some use outside of Italy.
