So, it's not getting much press, but Sam Raimi announced this weekend at Comicon that he is going to do Evil Dead 4. He went so far as to say that he and Ivan (his brother) will be getting together this weekend to start writing it. He has to do Spiderman 4 first (really) and he has Drag Me To Hell before that. i read some really good reviews of 'drag me to hell' footage from comicon. something about a creepy old lady vomiting bugs on a girl's face. sounds just dandy to me.

since i grow less and less fond of ARMY OF DARKNESS as the years go by, and more a fan of the original EVIL DEAD, a sequel would be fine by me. so long as it leans more toward horror and away from comic fantasy.

ARMY OF DARKNESS is still a damn fun film, but yeah, another dark horror flick would be amazing from Sam...though I agree with Brent: SPIDERMAN 3 scared me. Like, a lot.

PS: Why haven't we called each other? Are we both that busy? ;-)

and i'm sure i'll see you at rollins in september. you missed out on that last 40 watt show, though. it was the best i have seen him in years.
